These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Use of Services

• Eligibility – You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.
• User Accounts – Some features may require account registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details.
• Prohibited Activities – You agree not to engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activities on our platform, including but not limited to:
  • Violating intellectual property rights
  • Spreading malware or phishing
  • Posting fraudulent, misleading, or inappropriate content

3. Rentals and Services

• Platform Role – Homer Rentals and Services is a listing platform that connects users with rental and service providers. We do not manage rental agreements or service contracts.
• Direct Transactions – Payments and agreements for rentals and services must be handled directly between users and providers. We are not responsible for:
  • Payment disputes, damages, or service issues
  • Refunds, cancellations, or liability for rental transactions
• User Responsibility – Users and providers must comply with all applicable laws when listing, renting, or offering services.

4. Paid Services, Subscriptions & Featured Listings

We offer premium services, such as featured listings, advertising spaces, and subscription plans for increased visibility.

• Payments – Payments for premium services must be made upfront via our secure third-party payment processors (Stripe, WooCommerce Payments, etc.).
• Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
  • Some services are recurring subscriptions (e.g., monthly or annual plans).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • Users can cancel auto-renewal at any time through their account settings.
• Refund & Cancellation Policy
  • Featured Listings & One-Time Purchases: Refunds available within 24 hours of purchase. After that, no refunds.
  • Subscriptions: Cancellation applies at the end of the current billing period—no future charges but no pro-rated refunds.
  • Service Discontinuation: If Homer Rentals and Services discontinues a paid service, a prorated refund may be issued.

5. Payment Failures & Subscription Consequences

If a subscription payment fails, the system will automatically retry up to 8 times within a 2-week period. If the payment remains unsuccessful:

• Subscription Cancellation – Your subscription will be canceled, and access to premium services will be removed.
• Invoice Status – Failed one-time payments will be marked as past due.
• Reactivating Services – Users may re-subscribe anytime by updating their payment method and purchasing a new plan.

To prevent service interruptions, ensure your payment details are up to date.

6. Limitation of Liability

Homer Rentals and Services is not liable for any damages, disputes, or losses arising from:

• Rental or service transactions
• User-generated content
• Payment failures or disputes between users

Our platform is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

7. Termination of Paid Services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any paid service (including subscriptions and featured listings) if:

• A user violates these Terms of Service
• A payment is not successfully processed

8. Intellectual Property

• All text, graphics, logos, and content on this website belong to Homer Rentals and Services or its licensors.
• Unauthorized use, reproduction, or redistribution of any content is prohibited.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
